The Beginning
Asia DeMarcos' talent surfaced early on through modeling and acting. She was born in Iowa and moved with her family to Missouri when she was in grade school. In Missouri, she entered and won several beauty pageants, launching the start of her modeling and acting career.
She moved to Texas to complete high school and, after graduation, began modeling full time to pay for acting classes. Her first jobs were in commercials and magazine ads which led her to score several roles on the hit TV show Walker, Texas Ranger.
Her desire to perform in front of a live audience and work on her comedic timing brought her to the Second City Conservatory Program in Los Angeles. Asia wrote and performed sketch comedy for the Lowercase f troupe in the not-so-distant shadows of comedians like Mike Meyers, Chris Farley and Tina Fey. Asia graduated from Second City in the spring of 2002.

Charitable Work
Although Asia juggles a full schedule because of her demanding career, she always sets time aside for charitable work. Her newest, and most ambitious, endeavor is researching and educating people, especially young actresses, of the risks associated with the seduction of Hollywood, in particular, HIV and AIDS. In December 2001, Asia participated in the 29th Annual Honolulu marathon for AIDS research to further her cause.

Hobbies
Cooking and decorating are just a few of Asia's many interests outside of work.
Casting aside the repetitive meals of her childhood, Asia prides herself in the inspiration and pleasure derived from cooking. Ground turkey Cantonese spring rolls with spicy soy sauce and broiled salmon with a lemon caper Dijon glaze are two of her favorite recipes.
Asia - "I learned how to cook by watching endless hours of The Food Network. Cooking is a creative process, similar to acting. Sometimes you just have to take a chance and see if it works."
As an apartment manager, she was cast into an interior-decorating project. With that under her belt, she decorated her own home in a cozy, inviting style. Look out Trading Spaces; Asia can redo a bedroom for less than $100. "It's amazing what a little paint and hitting garage sales can do."
